Webinar: Understanding Washington's 'Safe Harbor' law, for service providers

On April 3, 2020, Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law the ‘Safe Harbor’ bill (House Bill 1775), passed to better support child victims of sex trafficking. This new law will change the way we provide services to commercially sexually exploited children and youth. This presentation will provide an overview of the Safe Harbor laws, provide more details on the timeline regarding the implementation of this legislation, focus on the expansion of support services, such as DCYF program staff, and and begin an ongoing conversation on how we adapt service delivery and multi-system collaboration and coordination to this new legal framework.
