WEBINAR | Law Enforcement Burnout & First Responder Resiliency

By Wilmington University, Delaware

Law Enforcement and First Responders deal with highly stressful situations and horrific situations on a daily basis. Their need to be in a constant “alert” stage, and the vicarious trauma experienced by first responders takes a toll on the mental, emotional, and physical state of their being and may also affect their interpersonal relationships. This constant stress-load often results in compassion fatigue and burnout. This session will discuss the scope of the problem and its physiological impact on the body, along with building first-responder resiliency and post-traumatic growth.
