CCYJ’s eQuality Project launches eQuality Learning Sessions!
These virtual sessions are intended to be a deeper dive into issues and/or considerations facing LGBTQ+ youth and young adults. We expect to hold four of these sessions this year. All youth-serving professionals/care providers are welcome to attend.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, 9:30 – 11:00 AM PST
REGISTER: Online, here. There is a $10 fee to attend the session, however, if registration cost is a barrier to participation, we have a fee waiver that anyone is welcome to access.
WHAT: The first session is called The Importance of Intersectionality in LGBTQ Mental Health presented by Dr. Myeshia Price, Director of Research Science at The Trevor Project. Dr. Price will discuss the potential of increased stress for young people with multiple identities, as well as explore some of the findings from The Trevor Project’s 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health. We encourage you to share the flyer widely, so others may learn more about the session and Dr. Price.
